Headed for work tomorrow returning Wednesday. Where are the best places to eat. Lunch, Dinner, breakfast?

    Anything new?

Best spot to grab a beer?

    No chain restaurants.

Spankys for burgers, or Blue Sky. Caprock cafe. Las Brisas for a bit more upscale and GREAT steaks. I was never up early enough during my fun years at Tech so I can't help you there.

Cast iron grill has great breakfast and lunch. Cagles serves a great steak at dinner. Come by while you are here and I will introduce you to firecracker shrimp tacos. Tom and bingos has some great BBQ at lunch.

Cold beer and good food at Caprock cafe. Awesome pizza joint called capital pizza at 26th and boston I believe, full bar and cold beer, also open till 2:00 am. Steak at Cagles. Las Brisas and Double Nickel if you like paying for way overpriced food( supposed to be very good, just not my thing). My favorite b-fast is cracker barrel but you said no chains so im out on that meal.

^^^^ to all of the above. Cast Iron of sho for lunch. Las Brisas has the best steak in my opinion. Eddie's BBQ- lunch only- pm me its blocks from my office.
            Garcia's for Mexican food.

Take Kieth up on his offer for tacos, his restaurant (Abuelos Taqueria) is great.

One Guy's or Giorgios for pizza......

Lubbock Breakfast House (name says it all)

19 th and Quaker in the nw corner. We share the strip mall with Lubbock national bank and five guys. We are across the street from the new market street. Come by anytime. Ive got questions about my Remington 700 for you anyway. Let me know if your team needs food Friday. I will cut you a really good deal. I will deliver to the jones for you ( and jethro) if needed.

I have heard Capitol pizza is really good.

Triple j is a great place for food and beer.
Orlando's for pizza, beer and down and dirty tortilini.
                            Cast iron for everything.
