    Interesting question........

If you hunt by a road say 100yrds, and you shoot a deer, it runs and gets hit by a car. Are you held responsible? I'm asking because there is a nice set up I would like to hunt but it's about 100yrds from a road. I've looked in tpwd but couldn't find anything on it. Whatcha think

The animal chooses where to run, you have no control over it. Besides, the deer belongs to the state until you tag it and you can only tag it once its dead right? So technically, the state's deer ran into a car.

Let's say you shoot and miss, the deer still runs out in the road and gets blasted by a vehicle. I'd say you are off the hook. Then again, asking legal advice around this place is a gamble in itself.

Thanks. I figured I wouldn't be held responsible but with the way things are now days, it wouldn't surprise me.

The question sould be can you go and get the deer? Since you are not pick to pick up deer hit by car.
