Rent a small drott to make the lift if moving it is a necessary.

Easiest would be to modify the roof to allow the Silo to be filled from the outside. Purchase some thin wall aluminum pipe and extend from the silo to the outside and use a roofing sealant around the hole to keep the rain out.
Install a spring loaded bump lid that the Truck driver can push up to get his auger into the pipe. The lid will spring back down sealing the pipe once the silo is loaded.

I have 2 questions about it all:

      1. Did you build your barn around them, and if not, how did you get them in and stood up?
      2. Have you tried hooking your truck or tractor to them and slowly pulling them through the door? might scratch some concrete but that'll happen.

Cause I am a low rent kinda guy, i would just push them over and drag them out. They will only be flat on one side!!

Call me **** but wouldn't the "dust" from the feed loading and unloading be a heavy dust nightmare inside the barn?

I think I'd prefer them outside anyway if they are soundly waterproof.

Glenn...its a concrete floored building/shop/barn....it will have dust. But nothing near what an open corn and protein auger would create..

Have the supplier bring a second auger for inside the barn.

Unload truck into a trough/etc. (inside the barn), and use the second auger to lift if into the bin.

Also keep in mind that the dust in the air can and will create an explosive situation in the right amounts. Another reason to have them outside.

After seeing some buildings blown up from static & feed dust, Just get a cloud goin and make a new door!!!! No really get in the phone book and see if there is anybody around with a truck and gin poles lay em over and move em where you want to! Other option is if any of your buddys happen to own a wrecker with the extension booms they work good too! Like a baby cherry picker!!!

Or I see that you have a sectional door. Raise the door assembly two feet and add extra rail track on each side, a carbide blade on a skill saw to trim the hole bigger and add more panels on the door! It wont be as bad as you think. Then you can get whatever you need to in there.

Take them apart, move the pieces outside, put them back together again, drink a beer.

This can be done with the equipment pictured, just like Cosmiccowboy has described (I think), only I'm not sure bout all the boomers. Several good chains and a few people to drive the pieces of equipment should get you home.

                            Remember.......

                            1. Drag the silos out to the center of the barn.
                            2. Chain the pivot feet both ways where they can't "leave".
                            3. A big tractor with a front end lift would make this cake.
