I bet that 90% of those who didn't like the movie didn't read the book.

Always happens...or they didn't like the genre to begin with.

I always go to book to movie adaptations, thinking about the movie as a whole different story than the book, otherwise, I get too frustrated.

I read the book and loved it. Haven't seen movie yet, but I've heard good things.

Love the book. Liked the movie. I expected they would leave out huge chunks of the story when they adapted it. They always do.

Have not read the book. Saw the movie. Thought it held a veiled political story line.

The veiled political story line is a huge part of the book. Well worth the read if your into sci fi.
