Deer still in bachelor groups?

Hey green screen, so by my calendar it should be the peak of the rut in the Hill Country, and usually is the week of Thanksgiving every year. But today I've seen almost no activity of rutting whatsoever. I had 6 does here earlier, and once they left 6 bucks came in together, whats the deal? They usually split up by now

Interesting... I was in Mason all last week and watched bucks in full lock down mode. Numerous times we saw the more dominant bucks with does and not leaving their side for a second.

We had a buck work a scrape line and had him pee on a scrape less than 15 yards from our stand.

We did see several of the less dominant bucks gather at the feeders only to eat and then start running a scent trail.

Trust me it is full blown rut in Mason right now.

I saw the rut three weeks ago in Burnet and now the bucks are back in groups and most does seem to be bred.
