Buck quantity question

A friend told me tonight that if I hunt in a 2 buck county an I tag both of my buck there an I hunt in the county I live in which is a 1 buck county I can still take a buck there taking a total of 3 is this correct? I would like to know because if I can I will hunt around my home more
