Get a can of the spray bed liner/ rubberized coating & coat it inside & out... May have to sand it a little to get it to stick to the smooth
Surface but it will give a great finish & really help w/ any unwanted noise.....

This is good. For sound, I was thinking you could use black foam pipe insulation tape.
