The storm & cold front is finally hitting us in Southeast Texas. Had to spook off 4 does already in the plot to get into my stand. Nubby buck came into the plot 2 minutes after I got settled in.

I would be willing to shoot a hog, bobcat, coyote or trophy buck this evening. Don't have any mature bucks that I would take on camera but it is low fence & a huge food plot. Feels very deery.

Light to medium misting rain, wind from the north.

2 of the does just came back into the plot.

Really the only mature buck I have on film here is from earlier in the season. He's a wide (18"?) 8 point, double throat patch with a lot of bright white on his legs & belly. I've nicknamed him "Show Pony".

These are my 2 consistent bucks down here. I'm guessing high & tight is 2 and low & wide is 3. They are regulars.

We tried buck forage for a few years & it did not grow the tonnage nor did deer like it as well as this stuff from East Texas Seed Co.

It's getting colder. I didn't dress warm enough. Still have does in the plot, so I'll stay thru the witching hour. It's nice to have the live decoys

Did you hand corn, or are the deer there eating from your food plot? Nice looking food plot.

That's a great view! it's so green it don't look real. Hopefully your rain has disipated by now.
Wish I'd have gone ahead and went out this evening now...
