I've owned this particular streamlight for several years, probably close to 8 years now. Well not sure how it happened put the cap that seals the battery compartment broke making it unusable. Really like the light so figured I'd email Streamlight and see if it was possible to buy a new cap. 30 minutes later I received a reply that as a 1 time courtesy they would send me a new cap free of charge. I would have been more than happy to hear back yes you can, here's a link to the PN, and been on my way. Just wanted to share a good customer service story.

I love all my stream lights and I have a headlamp with a broken battery cap. I'm gonna call them up and thanks for the info. -
Most stream light products have a lifetime warranty, they are a class act! I think they cover all parts but the battery.Comment

Man I have nothing but good to say about stream light........as a mechanic that's about all most of use. I drop one down the exhaust pipe of a duramax onetime I was doing an engine replacement and didn't realize it fell in there. Just grabbed my second one and kept on working. Well I finished the job up the next day and had this ungodly vibration in the exhaust system.........well you what it was, but I didn't at the time. Another guy asked to use my light and then I had that exclamation point above my head. Pulled it out of the exhaust and it was burnt up. Only the aluminum housing was left. They replaced the thing for $50. Heck a battery cost that much! Point is they are top notch.Comment

I am a LEO and I have been a customer for going on 30 years. I have nothing but great things to say about them. They have always had a great customer service and they make a quality light. I still have mine and they are still working. Other than a bulb replacement and a couple of battery sticks over the years, they are still going strong.Comment
