To each their own. I have learned over the years that I have to hunt the stand that gives me the best opportunity to see the game. It's whether I want to deal with the wind/cold/rain or not. I am not picky and do not discriminate where/when/how I hunt. I've killed "neighborhood" bucks out of a ground blind. I've shot deer out of box blinds. I have stuck many of deer out of a tripod. Don't hate any of it. A hide is a hide.

I have taken 2 deer in box blinds both my biggest bucks. The rest have been from trees or sitting on the ground brushed in with no blind just used natural cover or beside a tree. The ones on the ground are my most memorable. But its tough!

This^^^^. I like "open air" hunting.

Then on the other hand when your hunting with a new hunter it will help hide your movements.
