    Sound bar help?

Did a search and could find much on this. We got a new tv a while back and needing to improve the sound. Any suggestions on brand and model ? Not looking to break the bank but not wanting to pick up any junk either. Thinking I might be able to find a Cyber Monday deal but and not against going in to Best Buy to get it either! Thanks for any help guys

I bouthg a Samsung at Best Buy. It is awesome. Bluetooth sub, and easy to play music from my phone via bluetooth. Get a digitial audio cable. Lists for $400. I may have paid that, but I think it was on sale for $300

You wont find a better sounding sound bar than the Harman Kardon at Best Buy. It has a wireless sub. Trust me go listen to it, you will be blown away by the sound. Well worth the extra money compared to the cheap sound bars.

I've had good luck with Sonys soundboard subwoofer combo, I think my dads got 2 also with no problems and good sound.

Stay away from Vizio there TVs are ok but there sound bars are junk, had one in my reloading room but took it back it was crap

That does have pretty good reviews. I will have to go in and listen to it.

I have read some people say to stay away from bluetooth subs because they lose connection over time? Any thoughts on that?

I got a Bose Cinemate GS II system a few months ago- it's awesome. A little more pricey than some other options but I happened to find it on a price cut at Best Buy for about $75 off normal price. Bose rarely has their stuff on sale...

I have three soundbars that I use. Couple of questions for you:

Who is the manufacturer of your TV set? Do they offer a soundbar option?
Do you use a universal remote (programmable) or the remote that came with the TV?
If you use the remote that comes with the TV, you would likely benefit by going with the same manufacturer so you can use the same remote.
If you use a universal remote (programmable), you can pick anything you want.

My recommendations, get a good quality soundbar with the optional subwoofer. The soundbar should have a feature that allows you to automatically calibrate / tune it for the room acoustics.

For my house, I have two Yamaha soundbars and one Panasonic. They all work great and make a big difference in sound. Subwoofers make it "fun". <grin>

I did. I went with a Samsung 2.1 with a wireless sub. I got it from best buy on sale with free shipping during their Black Friday deals. Was 300 and got it for 170$. Hasn't come in yet so I can't give a review!
