Calling all PIG, SWINE, HOG experts

Will a pig/several pigs, hogs, swine be ok in a trap at this time of year ( temps in the mid 70's to low 50's for say 2 1/2 days? ex: caught wednesday night and taken out Saturday mid morning. ) I have some people coming in from out of state that want some good old texas wild hog. Yes they will hunt for them, but I want to be sure they will take home some pork. So if the hunt don't pay out I want the old trap back up.

    What say you brain trust?

They might die from dehydration being without water for so long.

In these temps, they're more likely to bust themselves up pretty bad in that amount of time. I've had pigs absolutely mangle themselves trying to escape a trap.

Even in 70 degrees days they really need shade and water tho.

If you just want to make sure they take home some pork, kill and quarter the pigs for em before they get here.

All good points, and thanks. However they have never seen a wild pig alive, I want them to have the rush of a pig charging the trap when they walk up. Not so much to see them crap their pants, but for them to have a memory that will be shared with their grandchildren.
My problem is this, they arrive Friday evening and hunt "Saturday only" before they have to leave. So do I set the trap Wednesday evening or Thursday evening? I have a camera on the trap, so I guess I will know in a day or so with the traffic the camera shows.

Put them in a cattle trailer in the shade with a water bucket and a few bales of hay. Don't mess with them except to water them and keep then calm.
I've kept them like that a few times they probably won't eat.

I'd cover the trap with a tarp or something to keep them in the shade, then get them some food & water. The food is just out of being nice. The water is a necessity.

The only thing that would worry me about the whole deal is "they have never seen a wild pig alive." My live in Chinese Chef/Maid went bonkers lovining.feral hog meat. Then I screwed up the whole deal and brought a couple home, hung them in the oak, and proceeded to skin, etc. She wouldin't touch the meat after that! What should you do? I have no idea.

There is a feeder in the trap, but no water. There is a chance of rain Friday and Saturday, I am not 100% sure I will catch them early I just am attempting to have a back up plan.

They wouldn't had today without water. Was 85 and bright here today.

Even on a cool day they need a drink and stress when enclosed.

If it was me I would set the trap Thursday and check it (bring them along) Friday night and check it again after the hunt Saturday. If I didn't know any better, I would feel like crap if someone trapped some pigs for me and held them for few days with no food and water. All of us hate pigs just the same but don't want them to suffer either. I don't think I would chance it bro. Just my opinion, hopefully they can shoot one or two or three or four!!!

I do not like them either, and I don't want them to suffer that is the reason for this post. I am attempting to reach a happy medium.
