they tried to market those for cars and trucks quite a few years ago. never took off so i guess the off road market is next.

I think they would work great in dry south or west texas type terrain, but I would not like to have them in the mud holes that we have to go through. They would end up weighing 200# each after filling up with mud.

The production models will have to have sidewalls. If they can get the stiffness right they won't be able to keep up with demand.

I would imagine this would be the case (sidewalls). Seems as though that picture was meant to illustrate the design and "forgiveness" in the tires. Innovative idea that I just might have to try.
