Bowhunting from the ground in Ghillie suit

Marc is fellow Bear pro staffer and he created this jacket for bow hunters. After picking his brain for two days I ordered the early season color. I know I own my own camo patterns and have had some nice success with it. It just makes sense in the area I hunt to try this technique. I am sure I could have added a bunch of leafywear to my jacket and pants. Anyway...

Marc has taken quite a few monster bucks from the ground. After my experience in KS and finding out where the deer really live I knew I have to find a way to hunt back there. Pop up would be chore to pack in and out. So would a fixed position stand.

All I need is some cover, chair, and luck to make it happen. I testing it out this weekend up there.

Interesting idea. I'd like to see your setup once you get settled.

Hope someone don't take you for sasquatch. Be careful out there.

Man, that is sweet. Almost pulled the trigger on one the other day but started thinking about drawing and releasing my bow so I passed. This just opened up a new door. Thanks for posting and Ill be watching this thread

Just got my lefty suit and it is well made. I have already tried this out and it does help a lot when you are on the ground. I still need an arm guard as the suit is a little baggy in the sleeves but this is not a problem. Cheers!

Looks like it would be great for turkey hunting too. I think i'll order 1.

The suit can be found at Cabelas as well. I checked them out before buying it.

Also, I have no issues shooting from a seated position with my recurve or my compound.

I will try and take some pictures after my hunt. It's supposed to be nice and cold this Saturday up there.

Well, if the ghillie works, it should look a lot like this:
