Got stung by one today. Flew down my collar. Smashed him on my neck and he looked just like that.

I know it's a breed of wasp. But the right name escapes me at the moment. Not nearly as aggressive as the red or yellow jacket paper wasps.

I can't recall the name of that critter either, but she's absolutely right!!! Those little beggers hurt. Got one up my britches leg one day and liked to have embarrassed myself.
