It's addicting for sure. Those aren't the tastiest of ducks to eat though.

I was just happy knocking them down. Cleaning them was a whole other
Challenge. No as easy as a dove but i might have been doing it wrong.

they eat just fine, remember to soak the breasts in italian dressing and score before cooking. unless you are bacon wrapping or frying take then take the skin off.

fun to shoot those for sure....BUT cook em for 3 days in a crock pot with onions and other veggies on very low...then feed the ducks to the retriever and eat the soup!

they are a little easier than skinning a live turtle

I always cut them in thin strips and soak overnight in salty water. Take them out in the morning and wring them out - make a new salty water sollution and soak till I get home from work.
Take them out and wash off real good and wash up with clean water.
Bread and fry and they are fine.............

Looks like it. Maybe a couple too many.

Ring necks, redheads and a hybrid.

Thats a Negative on the BlueBill/Scaup call.. They look like Ringnecks to me, given the distinct white markings on the bills and a more angular head.

Thanks for the correction on the ringnecks. It annoys me when folks call a ring neck a blue bill. Not the same duck. And ring neck limit is still 6, you're not even close to being over. Good hunt, love those diver hunts!
