My grandparents have a place in evant and we have never seen a cat and all the neighbors have goats. Good luck but I am skeptical.....

Yeah, there must be a million goats around here. A 300 acre place directly behind us has about 120 of them. But there are definitely cats around here.

Catch a small feral hog.
Get a thin cable and secure it to one of the hogs legs and tie the other end to a tree
With that sucker squealing and rolling around, if there's a lion in the area he's going to come check that out.
