My kids school apparently did nothing for Vets day, they can do stuff for every other dang Holliday but nothing for Vets? That's BS!! What's this country coming to?

My school is known for its veterans day show. We invite vets for a free BBQ lunch and before hand treat them to a show, this year was a USO theme complete with bands and the whole shooting match. I encourage ANY vet in East Tx to come to Huntington High Schools Veterans day program next year. It really is a big deal. Mrs. Short and the others involved do a fantastic and amazing job.Comment

My wife's school (she a teacher) and sons school recognized vets.Comment

Ask the school superintendent why, and if he/she doesn't give a good answer, go to the school board president and let him/her know you don't like it.Comment

Kingwood schools recognized Veterans Day and had a luncheon. I went and ate with my girls.Comment

To many people these days forget or just don't care who it was that stood up and volunteered to protect their freedoms and the constitutuon.
I am proud of the fact that my job we have 30 vets out of150 employees.
And considering the fact that 23 of us served from 1980 or more recent.Comment
