I broke both of my ankles in a motorcycle wreck. I had surgery on both with screws and plates. I did not get put in a cast but two boots instead. Hopefully you get the boots a well. They are easy. Once you get some pain medicine you will feel a lot better.

Just find a nice limber tree or limb, tye your foot in a harness and bend that limb or tree way down hook your ankle around the untied end, let go of the bow and it will straighten out that ankle.
OR just go to a bone cracker and have him do a adjustment on your ankle

I do that to my ankle once a week....I just walk it off. Though I do pull to the left now when walking.
