I had no idea about the turnips. I planted 5 pounds.

For turnips and rape, I paid $3 a pound.

For a 100 pound bag of oats I believe was $25.

The Fall mix at my local store was also $25 a bag.

Can't remember a price on the peas.

I ended up mixing 100 pounds of oats, 5 pounds of turnips, 5 pounds of rape, and a bag of the mix for 2-2.5 acres.

We have planted turnips, mustard greens and rape for years. Normally get a 50# bag of each. This is the first year we were ever told this info. I am not sure of the accuracy but if a LDWF Biologist went to local seed stores in his district passing on the info. I was not going to argue. Maybe its more about volume consumption, I dont know but we had planted them for years but now just planting the rape.
