    "Stolen" pop-up blind recovery

I know some of you have seen in the last few days I had a pop-up turn up missing. Well the guy just called me and he's quite embarrassed and extremely apologetic. He will be bringing it to my door step today around lunch.

After looking at aerial photos, they determined that I was in fact on my side of the property line and not the coal mine's. As much as I wanted to be rude and inconsiderate for just snatching up my stuff, I just can't be that person. I'm just glad I'm getting my stuff back.

My threads leading to the recovery...

An 18pk for your troubles might not have been a bad ask either ....

We all make mistakes. I don't have a dog in the race, but I appreciate you being the better man about the deal. Good luck

Did you tell them not to trespass anymore?

While everybody would agree that the guy shouldn't have touched your stuff... it sounds like it was an honest mistake... the guy obviously wasn't a jerk since he at least left you a note... and was very apologetic and went out of his way to make it right by bringing the stuff to you.

A perfect ending to a simple misunderstanding made possible by two level headed individuals.

Yea, he was a very nice fellow, and even brought me some aerial photos with property lines that he obtained after finding out he made a mistake.

He sure was nervous when I answered the door and had a bit of a stutter, rubbing the back of his head while he explained. I think he was expecting me to be an arse.

I applaud you sir for handling this situation like a true gentleman. I know it must have been frustrating for you to have to go thru this ordeal, but I'm sure the man upstairs appreciates the way you handled it. Kudos.

That's the way TBHers should handle honest mistakes--now, for thieves, there is a different approach--
