    Does not Doe ;)

Not sure why, but its been buggin me with so many saying that the plural of Doe is Doe when it is actually Does. Example- I saw 4 Doe

Simple search on dictionary.com tells the truth.

doe [doh]–noun, plural does, (especially collectively)
doe- the female of the deer, antelope, goat, rabbit, and certain other animals.
[Origin: bef. 1000; ME do, OE dā; c. Dan daa; akin to OE déon to suck]

Not sure why it even matters but just trying to do some edumacating

Doe has always been both singular, and plural.

There are two doe in the field.

There is one doe in the field.

Deer is both singular and plural but Doe is singular and Does is plural.

It appears both can be used correctly.

DOES it matter if we say DOES or doe?
                          I say it DOES not!

It's like debating whether or not you have beer or beers! Correct punctuation DOES not matter if your cooler is full!

Yea right, just because Bill Ayers the elementary education theorist says something doesn't make it true.

There are 6 doe deer in the pasture. Right

There are 6 does deer in the pasture. Left
