Question for the rut guru's

I just saw a buck chase a doe that had a couple youngsters with her. What do I make of this? Thought they separated before they come in?

The bucks separate.
If the doe has a buck yearling, she'll run him off before the rut.
Does stick together.

Wait until you see a Buck run 5 to 7 does single file at the same time.
I've seen it twice since 1965.

It's prerut. We are getting close though. In cass county bucks still running together. Got to see a little sparring though
