    Food plot updates

Went out and checked my foods plots over the weekend. My first thought was a weed had taken over but after doing some research it is the buckwheat that has taken off. It is providing a nice cover crop for the peas.

The buckwheat matures very early and forms a seed that turkey and dove like.

This is my local cactus buck. I keep hoping he or she will blow up into something special.

I also have a chufa plot that I redid after a poor start. I am determined to get it going. Talked to my neighbor today and he said we got 2 inches yesterday.

My peas got hammered this year just after they got up. I don't think mine are going to make it this year. Last year they did not know what they were. This year they were there waiting for them to pop out of the ground......

Thanks for the update, keep it coming. I like to see food plots and to see what different types of methods people use.
