I took my daughter (4 last year) and set in my pop up blind. Seems like we saw ever animal on the property at one point or another. I could never get a shot tho b/c every time I said, "shhhhh, look right there!" Her response would be, "Oh my goodness!!!!" In a loud, so surprised she couldn't keep it contained yell. Lol
I wouldn't trade that day for nothing!

I took my 2.5 yr old yesterday an she had a blast. The bottom of the deer blind looked like a playroom, I had every toy my back pack would hold.

Good stuff. Keep it up. My son sat with me for the first time when he was 3.5 then killed his first deer at 4.5. There's no way to put a set age on it. When they're ready you know.

                  All kids are different...

My now 9 year old was 5 when he shot the deer in my avatar. He is a true hunter.

Now my 7 year old can sit for about an hour if he has a ipod. After that all bets are off. Even my 9 yr old gets frustrated with him.

                  Good Luck!

The first time I took my son he was that age. I gave him a talk about patience and how tough hunting is. We sat down in a pop up blind. As I was getting snacks out, he whispered to me that a doe came out. I looked up and she was walking to us. He said shoot her. I drew back put pin #1 on her and dropped her at 18 yards. He turned and said, "that was easy, can we go watch cartoons now?"

It was the easiest hunt I've ever had. My boy is good luck.
