You can set it up to email and get a pop up the next time you log on. It asks me if I want to open the pm as soon as I log on if I have a pm.

I get a notification. Why don't you just check your PM's when your surfing TBH. I guess I don't see why it is so hard to check pm's. I am not bashing anyone just curios.
