    Calling them in?

I have never had any luck trying to call in deer. This season is going as bad for me as last season. So far I've only been presented with one shot but didn't take it due to it would have been a stretch for my abilities. I am desperate for my first bow kill ever. So much so I'm at that frustrated point where I'm more aggravated and anxious about hunting than enjoying the woods and relaxing. So out of desperation I'm turning to the GS. Anyone have any tips on rattle's and grunt calls? Is it too early? Whats the best strategy for using either?

It's not necessarily calling them out of the woods. Rattling is really the only thing I've had luck with doing that. You don't want to grunt or anything else unless you have eyes on what your trying to communicate with. Snort wheezing at a buck works great this time of year mostly in my experiences.

Well I'm willing to try anything. These last two seasons are killing my enjoyment of hunting. I know that's my own fault but frustration and aggravation is building.

It's getting that time. You can blind call with success, I do with good results

I've never really called too much. Anyone have a link to a video on how to properly call and rattle? I think a lot of my problem is that the deer on my property move mainly at night. I've seen the deer during the morning between 7 and 10 and again later in the evening. I may try going for a mid-day to late evening hunt....or I may just take a bottle of water and a sammich and sit out there all day.

With bucks starting to troll for does, mid day might be good, you never know

A few days ago I saw a buck chasing the does around. Its possible the reason I haven't seen anything is because they are bedded down together.
