How much meat from axis doe

How much on average should an axis doe have once processed? Never hunted axis and just curious how much meat i can expect after im done processing one.

I have shot 3 axis doe and I was able to pick the largest doe that was not pregnant. I felt I had more meat than a good size doe. I do not know weight wise. It was not as much as a big mature TEXAS buck.

Not very much if it's one the size that WCB or Humper shoots

I would guess 30-40% more than average wt doe

This assuming you harvest an adult doe. Good luck hunting, meat is awesome

It all depends on how much the doe weighed when you shot it.....

I'm a novice at this but I'd say 45lbs on a WT doe, and 65lbs on an Axis.

But if you drop megafawn its lots more.....

Ours equal out to about the size of our whitetail bucks and yields about the same meat as a whitetail "hill country" buck.

And what is really nice is the backstrap and tenderloin are larger. Got a big doe on our place with my crossbow about a month ago, and was surprised how much more meat she had than a WT.
