How to find property owner's name in Jim Wells county?

My wife's grandparents own 200 acres in western Jim Wells county that backs up to two different ranches that are larger and seem to be unused. I currently hunt their property, but have started thinking about inquiring towards leasing the neighboring property for hunting as well.
The problem is I don't know who owns it other than that it's a couple from Houston, which we found out through the rumor mill. The entrance to the property is off a private easement through another ranch so you can never tell if anyone is there or not. We never see or hear any action over there either. Is there anyway to find out who owns that property and what their contact info might be?

I believe you can go to the county court house and look it up on a tax map.

property ownership is public information, most counties have information online. some counties also have interactive maps that allow you to point a piece of property and it will tell you the land owners name and home address. start at JIMWELLSCAD.ORG (jim wells county appraisal district). it doesn't look like this county has a interactive map, you will need to search by address

My next challenge is trying to figure out what the street address would be as the entrance is not labeled in anyway.

You may have to narrow it down by approximate location and size of property.

If unable to locate by address. Look into a section map and pick a section in the middle of the property and go from there. Good luck.
