Getting a new bow - need some info from folks

I am going to get a new bow as soon as I get mine sold and wanted some info from some of you who have shot any of these particular bows before. I am looking at the following bows: Fred Bear Truth, Ross C334, Elite Synergy, Alpine Denalli. Please give me any info that you have on these bows from first hand experiences you have with them, whether you just shot one in a shop or you own one. Thanks in advance for the help. Also does anyone know of any shops in the DFW area where I can shoot the ROSS, ELITE, & ALPINE. I can shoot the Truth at Cabelas.

Sportsmans Warehouse has the Ross and Truth. I also think I remember seeing an Alpine as well.

Codie, see link on Elite Synergy & Hoyt Vulcan

I have also shot the Evotek and it just seemed like another single cam bow to me.

Thanks to all of you folks who have expressed such great intrests. I hope we can continue to provide you with awesome products.

As for a new bow well I want list ours on here I will leave that up to the rest of you guys. I shot the new Hoyt Vectrix and the Mathews Drenaline this weekend and I was a little more impressed with the Drenaline. Great speed, smooth, and quiet. It was a little too lite for me and I believe with some more wieght it would hold a little better, but all in all a good bow.

And I bet you a dollar Elite is back in court soon over the cam design. Just something I heard from a little birdie.

I like the Ross 334. Are you set on the 34" Ross. I really like the 31" better. It reminded me alot of my XT. Smooth, quiet, not quiet as fast. I have handled the new Bear Truth but have not shot it. Looks and feels to be a quality bow. I shot the Evotecs. The 34" was my favorite. Sat well in the hand, smooth draw, little hand shock. The 34" was a little on the heavy side but a nice bow. The 31" Evotec IMHO was loud, and had alot of hand shock. It was a bare bow with a TM Hunter type rest. I would like to shoot that bow with a sight, string leeches, limb savers and good drop-away rest. I think that would have helped alot. Can't help you on the Elite or Alpine. Do you have a price range? I think the Ross is hard to beat for smooth and quiet at their price range. Good luck, shoot as many as you can. You will know when you find the right one. As stated here many times before. Let the bow pic you.

                  TexAG 93,

I will not spend more than $550 on the bow, just can't make myself do it. My two main choices are the Fred Bear truth and the Ross 334. Thanks for the input on their bows. I like the axle to axle length to be at least 33 inches. I wish their was one store that carried every name on the market where I could shoot them all side by side.

I'd just suggest you buy it from the guy who you'll go to if you need advise, adjustments, tuning help or to answer your questions for free. Try to support the local retailer who provides all the after-sale support. Tell him what you can spend maximum and work from there. You can probably get some good sale prices on end of year (2006) inventory as they try to move it to bring in the 2007 inventory.

Hunt hard, enjoy you new bow whatever you do.
