This is a great time and place to enter Smart's great thread from earlier today featuring why we see 100's of positive comments said about a product and then 2 negative comments. We then forget about the positive comments and dwell on the negative comments. Please read this:

I have never read or heard a bad review about the regular 1" slicks. There may be that one truly bad expwerience but more often than not its the shooter, shot placement or equipment. Up till this year the plain old 1" 100gr slicks are all i used.
Read a 1 or 2 bad reviews about the magnums
And a few about the griz.
by the way only reason I switched was just out of curiosity as to how the Spitfire Edge would do. Especially with an added 3/4" of cutting ability. It worked well but gotta say that deer ran further than any of my otherdeer with the 1" slicks, and it was a great shot. that buck has some adrenbaline and will is all I could chalk it up to. Also had more damage than the slicks.......who knows.

Well. Ive shot one or 2 broad heads before. Ive killed with a Standard 85 grain ST. A 100 ST Mag, and many many deer with a, Grizz trick. They are as good as it gets period. And to show you some penetrating power I will post the entrance and exit of an east texas doe from a couple years ago. This was about 15-16 yards. The arrow, weighed 365 grains. And was moving 295-300 I forget which right off. She was quartering to me. As you can see I destroyed the shoulder. It fractured her femur in exit. And not only do they cut big holes. But more importantly they clear the holes out well to allow blood to hit the ground. Ive slammed shoulders with Grizz Tricks before as well, which every time has equaled a, dead deer.

If you put them in the right spot you don't have anything to worry about. Myself, my gf and a few of my buddies have shot plenty of animals with them. If you bow is tuned and you make a decent shot they will do the job. My gf got her first deer a few weeks ago and got both lungs and a slice of heart with em and got a pass through with a 45 pound bow. Deer went 40 yards and had a good blood trail. Nothing wrong with them.
