    You asked for it

Is anyone on here upset about prop 6 passing so easily? I live in east Texas, we already gave up some of our prime land for resevoirs, I think you boys out west are getting ready to get bent over the proverbial barrel. Any thoughts?

I wasn't happy that it passed. It is taking 2 Billion out of the rainy day fund and there are only a few people accountable for that money. I think most of it will be wasted.

because a bunch of people like congress handle it better?
doesn't matter if it 1 or 500 people controlling it, if they are a politician than it will be wasted

The thing that scares me about this is flooding private land owners property. My land is not in an area that can be used for a lake but lake livingston ruined some beautiful country. It is a shame that because of the bigger cities those of us in the country pay the price. Our children and grand-children will miss out on some of the areas we were able to access, and private land owners will lose their hunting and camping grounds.

It kind of reminds me of the super highway land deals, if they want it they will take it.

I too, was disappointed that it passed so easily. Guess it's true that most voters don't really study the problem or read the fine print.

Guess that's also how Obama got elected, so maybe I shouldn't have been surprised.

The sad thing is there are lots of places that waste more water than what they need. Big areas with lots of money (ie Tarrant county) build the the reservoirs and don't even need water, they sell it to someone else to waste. Meanwhile the little areas get screwed along with the landowners.

If there is a true need for water I understand, but to take someone's property just because they want it for a money generating business is not right

Two weeks ago I got an email from my state rep promoting the prop 6 and responded with an email that melted her in box. I am probably on a list now...........

One of her selling points was if we didn't spend it we would soon hit the constitutional cap of $10b dollars.......well here is part of what I told her.

I say NO to Prop 6.......!!!

This money will be wasted by special interest/environmental groups "re-studying" projects already on paper.

STOP double taxing O&G revenues and you won't have to worry about "hitting the cap." Reduce taxes and return the excess monies.....I swear, you RINO's are just like the Dems........tax and spend.....tax and spend. Your legislating us into serfdom!!!..............

So by their way of thinking if I make more this week than last I should go out and buy some blue-blocker sun glasses? Just so I can keep the status quo?

I loved your letter to your rep. One change would be "all politicians" are rino's are dem's and we as Americans are recognizining it for what things truly are. Your serfdom part is perfection............and true!
Amazing folks will turn over control to a bunch of nitwits so easily!
