    DSL upgrade? to UVerse?

I have had ATT DSL for years at my business and it has been rock solid. Only interruption EVER was when a modem failed.

Now they told me DSL was "obsolete" and they upgraded me this morning to UVerse...I'm ALREADY having problems. It will work and then it won't
work. Already have repair guys coming out tomorrow...

anyone else have this experience with UVerse?

Did the same thing to me. Uverse has worked fine.

Now I can watchESPN at the office.

I have had issues with mine where it will drop for a couple if minutes then reconnect. I am on my third modem and have not had any issues in the past 3 months.

We had issues with uverse at first. they had to replace all the cable in the house. The installers hate doing that but it is whats wrong in most cases.

I may have had an installer problem and not an equipment problem. The phone system brain box is literally over my desk so wiring isn't an issue.. The modem sits on top of my computer. I started having my doubts when he had to hook up my computer wirelessly with a USB DLink instead of hard wiring it. Said he couldn't figure out how to make it work hard wired. It's not just me as my secretary who is connecting wirelessly too had problems at the same time.

I was a Uverse fan but the last couple months have not been good since I moved into my new house. Same thing as Jon-Paul, it will drop for a bit and then reconnect, sometimes in 30seconds, sometimes 30min. Frustrating to say the least. I haven't put in a request yet but will be soon. I have been pleased in the past with their service, hopefully that will continue to be the case.

I have had UVerse for a couple of years. When we first got it, we had problems staying connected. A couple of service calls later and we got the right tech. He told us that because we use Apple products that the modem we were using would keep giving us problems. He switched to a different brand of modem and we have had zero problems.

Also when we moved and transferred our service, the old homeowner left a roll of CAT5 cable in the attic which the installer ran and the internet speed finally measured out to what it was suppose to. The coax cable we had was giving us about a third of the speed.

Ask to change modem brands and if possible upgrade from coax
