Anyone else not seeing anything in Wimberley area?

Shots have been few and far between in this part of the country. I'm still hunting with my bow but I didn't hear but a handful of shots all day yesterday. We had a pretty good flood come through on Thursday so I'm wondering if it pushed a lot of deer to higher ground? Acorns were washed away for the most part. Anybody else not seeing deer in the Wimberley area?

Slow in N. Hays county. Been seeing a few bucks dead on road. They should be chasing pretty hard in the near future.

That's the area we're in. I heard two shots last night and only about 3 yesterday morning. Normally opening day sounds like WWIII.

This is the feeder I am sitting on and it hasn't spun yet this afternoon. They are not coming to feeders.

We took a deer in this afternoon to Bontons and they said there had only been 15 deer brought in. Most the time their walk-in is full on opening weekend.

Only seeing movement at night and first light, after 9:00 AM it is dead until 10:00 PM, then I start seeing them move around my house at night.

Like everyone else is saying, nothing has been coming into any of the 3 feeders I've had out for the past month. With all the acorns and rain providing fresh greens & water, no need for them to move, much less during the day time, especially with the warm days still.

Sat. morning I watched an 8 pt. for over 20 mins. tending, not chasing, a doe out at 75 yds., which is beyond my bow range.

Not seeing heavy chasing or noses hard to the ground like a few weeks ago, but more of a tending to does behavior from the bucks I've seen where I hunt and at the house.

I took my rifle out w/ me yesterday, thinking they'd be running the high ground too, but scoped over 400+ yds. of open hilltops and ridges ranging over 500 acres out by FM32 & RR12 from about 10:30 AM till last light and nada. Another hunter near me dropped a small 8pt at 7:30 AM same morning on the adjacent property, he was hunting higher ground than usual.

Same thing around the Dripping Area. I am a little north of Locoengineer and the cameras are showing squat for deer. I usually have 15-20 deer at my feeders morning and afternoon. This year I am lucky to have 4.

And my feeders have been throwing corn in the same spots for almost 20 years.

I'm hunting over off mail route rd and 32. Haven't been seeing anything. All my feeder are just expensive bird feeders at this point. Had a spike come in on sat am then 3 does but they cruised by and didn't stop at all. not one look at the feeder. i'm going to be hunting my food plot next week. I've been seeing some small bucks chasing does around. Seems like the does aren't having any of it yet either. We really need a freeze to start killing off some of that vegetation they are eating up. and the rut needs to kick off to get those big guys up and moving. Its been a real bummer going out every weekend since opener and not seeing or getting anything worth shooting to come in.

We're just behind Summer Mountain Ranch. We've had stands and feeders in the same place FOREVER. We saw lots of deer on camera before the rains and acorns starting dropping. Now nothing hardly at the feeders. I've have a stand set up back on a trail with a feeder and it looks like a highway through there. Seems like they're moving at night after dark. Hopefully with the rains and colder weather expected the acorns will start to rot and the grass will start to freeze back.
