    Heavy rain affecting deer movement?

I was curious how heavy rains will affect a deer's movement. Specifically how will my hunt be tomorrow morning after all this rain passes through.
    What say the green screen?

Well they won't have to go anywhere for water and if they are like mine they probably have a years worth of acorns within 50 yards of their bedding area......so unless they have some lady friends or are addicted to corn, its a crapshoot at our place right now..

Maybe all that rain will wash away the acorns : )

I would hunt, they should be up and moving, get off the feeders and hunt in the oaks.

I agree. My feeder movement has shut down (via the cam pic's) so last weekend I set up a hang on in a oak patch/bedding area. I usually like to leave that area as a sactuary but last two weeks with all the rain I havent had the normal movement. Just seem to be staying buried.

Yep, but the deer ordered delivery this week. I hope they tip well.

I'd still get out and hunt - you just never know. If you're not hunting, you can't kill them.

2,400 acres....x 5-6 oak motts (2-10 trees per mott) per acre.....walking under them all is like walking on marbles.

Which mott do you suggest I hang a tree stand in for a 30 yard shot?.....
