.................................................. .................................................. ..........................................weekend at the lease! I hunt in Henderson County....thought the rut might have started or fixing to, but I guess not!!! Saw 1 deer in my 4 sits!!

I guess that the way deer hunting go!!!

Anybody else have a slow weekend in East Texas?

I hunted near Lake Palestine for 3 days. Saw mostly does with a couple small 4 points. One was chasing and dogging a doe...grunting and raising heck. I don't think its quote there yet but its getting close.

Last saturday evening, I had deer from five till dark. 2 bucks and 3 doe - they were not paying attention to each other.

This weekend I saw a bobcat...

Yep it was slow here in Nac. In 5 sits we saw 3 deer and about 20 hogs.

Hunted with my daughter all day Saturday. Had a big doe come in that morning. Watched her for 15-20 minutes and finally gave my daughter the green light. She missed. Sat the rest of the day and didn't have anymore deer come in. Sat Sunday from 5:30 til 11:00 and didn't have any activity. Had to get back home. Houston county.

I saw a nice 8 point crossing the road up by Canton on Saturday at 1:30 in the afternoon. He was really wide too.
