    Jig and arrow saw

For an average bowhunter who wants to build his own arrows, what is the most practical and affordable saw and jig.

    Thanks

      Fletching jig?

E-Z fletch is a good one.
Used Bitzenburger or Jo-Jan would be good choices too

I am saving my pennies to buy an arrow saw, thinking about a Weston 8000rpm from Sportsman's Guide or ebay
Apple makes a good one but they are about $100 more

Apple arrow saws are top notch - they start at about $150 for the 5,000 rpm version which is plenty for somebody just doing his own arrows. There are a lot of plans for DIY arrow saws on the internet as well. Some guys use a mini chop saw you can buy cheap at Harbor Freight. I jury-rigged a way to cut arrows with a Dremel, then I finish them with an ASG (arrow squaring device) made by G5. As far as fletching jigs, you will get a lot of opinions as there are several that are easy to use and work great. I happen to be a fan of the Bitzenberger.

            E-Z Mini Fletch

I use a saw I built using a mini chop saw from somewhere (I forget where) years ago. Been cutting arrows with it for many years.
