    Michigan move update

Just wanted to update you guys. I know a few of you have followed along, and said a few prayers for us...

its been a long journey the last few months (well since july really) since we moved back home. We have accomplished a bunch I think.

Anyway. You all know we made it back. we were staying on my grandparents farm temporarily. I got the big job that I moved back for (finally after 3 months of interviewing with them and turning 3 other jobs down unknowingly waiting for this one) been working there 2 months now. its going great. I had another department try to "recruit" me today. lol. that felt good. ( I make more than I ever have! )

we moved into our new house last weekend. got it mostly setup. (the wife has done most of it). I have to organize my garage now. its overwhelming as EVERYTHING IS IN THERE!

went hunting at my gpa's with my cousin last night (first time out). we saw 3 doe and 6 bucks. No shots avail, but GREAT 1st time out. We live 3 miles from my grandpa's farm (give or take).

My son started playing in the same soccer league I did when I was a kid at the park I played at and were the veteran memorial is that all my family members alive and fallen are listed on (including myself).

my wife and I coach his team.

My son is one of our star players with the second most goals on the team (not bad for his first year). Man... That ranks on one of the coolest things ever. Watching my son "be the man". and I get to be on the field with him as the coach!

Life is good, and getting better... I have met up with some old family freinds the last week or so and it was like we never left. I love small towns.

I think we have accomplished a ton since july 15th!

thanks for the prayers. I know its helped!

    everything happens for a reason.

Greatness!! Really good to hear you found a position with a company that is positive in all areas. That in itself is a big deal with the floundering economy....especially up that way. Congrats and thwack a few big Michigan deer so we can see some pics!!

working on it! im 15 yards of a huge scrape!!! counting the tines looks like 4 scraping across so 10 point ish?

anyway here is some pics of my bow setup. right on a hot spot. scrape is on the feild line to the right of the opening under a oak limb...

swamp behind me. That is a bean field with wheat growing on a 1/4 of it. (they are bedding in the wheat 100 yards from my stand).

Nice looking setup brother!!! I'm going a little stir crazy being stuck here in the apartment, thinking about headed up north of Saginaw tomorrow just to walk through the woods for a bit.

Really glad to hear this move has been so positive for your family, good stuff all around.

If you like pretzels, go to the bakery in Saline on game day Saturdays for fresh baked pretzels. Picked up 4 dozen for the Notre Dame game. Went down fast and easy.

I'm in Lansing. No hunting for me this year unless the timing is just perfect. I've got a kid due in 3 weeks and will be going back to Texas for that. On top of going back every other weekend, there are not many chances to get out up here. Mainly I am just appreciating the landscape and trying to get through the time away from the family.
