Acorns are rotting pretty quickly it seems. Deer are cleaning up my feeder. Last night had a spike and young 8 under my feeder for 30 mins. Does usually wiping it out pretty quick in the mornings. I hunt between Burnet and Lampasas. Last weekend with the cold weather, I did see some young deer pretending to chase does. As observed yesterday though, the bucks were more interested in food than love. I expect the chasing activity to really kick off this week and next. Usually around the first weekend of rifle season, through end of Nov. Good luck too you. Where do you hunt in the county?
