    Don Harris (WBAP) passed

Some of you may remember Don Harris from WBAP. He passed away this evening. I have many fond memories from WBAP growing up. That was, and still is, the only radio station my dad would listen to.

One of those voices you would recognize anytime anywhere. I'll have to flip over to bap to hear some stories from Hal Jay tomorrow.

**** Seegal did a morning show in Eldorado recently. He also passed about a year ago. He would play reruns of Sam from Sales.

Don and Don in the morning!

After the Hal and **** show.

          I miss those days!

Where did you hear the news? I can't find anything on it. That's sad - my wife worked at WBAP back in the 80's during the heyday of Hal and **** - Don Harris was a great guy.

He was a relative of a family friend, but here is a statement from the WBAP Facebook page:
A sad passing....one of the WBAP "greats"...in every sense of the word....has left us. Don Harris was the voice that personified WBAP in the 80's and 90's, and sadly has passed. A gentle man, a gentleman in the truest sense of the word, made everyone around him feel instantly at home and as if you were a friend. Don, your presence on WBAP was a sign every day that "all is ok today". He was one of a kind. RIP

Sad news there. I was a fan of the Bill Mac Open Road show every night.
