I usually get about 1000 days out of a three year battery and maybe four years out of a 60 month battery. Had one adjusted recently that was about a year old on the F250 7.3. I think that it is pretty hard on them when the truck gets no more miles than mine does.

Two years on my 07 Chevy diesel. Three years is a bonus.

There are a ton of battery brands but very few battery manufacturers. A company called Johnson Controls make the majority of the different brands of batteries. Just buy the Walmart batteries. If they die w/in 3 years, you get free ones. If they last longer than 3 years you got your money's worth.

I had really good luck with Interstate batteries in my 7.3
I did go the cheap route, with Autozone Duralast GOLDs, once ... what a joke.

Got 4 years out of my batteries on my cummins and switched to optima batteries. Got 3.5 on my first one in the hemi and 2.5 on my last one. Last one was under warranty for the hemi.

Still on the original in my 03 Ram. Hope the motorhome has the same luck. It has 8 batteries.

My 6.7 cummins is an 07.5 with 91000 miles. I'm still on my stock set. I will replace with Optima when they do finally give out.

I drive an '06 F-150 with about 182k miles. Seems I have bought no less than 5 batteries over the years.

Same here 03 Ram with the original. I've been telling myself for the last few years I need to replace it before it craps out, but it hasn't. I'll probably get a new truck before a new battery.

This is exactly why I keep a charged up batter jumper in my truck box all year long.

Learned this a long time ago after my former hunting buddies left the interior lights on one too many times.

Depends on how good a battery you buy... I buy the delco 7 year when I have to replace. I probably should go optima, but seems I some warranty left. Mine are 5 years old, and starting to strain when cranking. I need to have them tested asap.
