I use a fertilizer spreader to throw out areas with no feeder and have good success. we don't have a lot of deer where we hunt and it will last up to a week or 10 days as long as the hogs don't get it.
Yes sorry about that. 80lbs at each stand. I have a healthy coon population lol, ive shot 4 so far. I try to put down plenty to keep them coming all week.
I normally put about 25lbs out on tues and 25 out on thurs. I scatter it out and throw it in bushes and around trees. If I pile it up the hogs destroy it. Scattering it out makes them hunt for it and keeps them there longer for pics.
My biggest problem is when the hogs find it they stay in the area for several days and I get very few deer pictures during that time. When this happens I cut back my hand corn amount to maybe 5 lbs per time.
I get 5x the amount of pics on the hand corn than at a feeder less than 500yards away. I never get buck pictures at my feeder. I wish I had a timer that would spin for 30 seconds every other day at noon that I could put on a feeder and hang it 30 ft up in a tree so it would have the effect of hand Corning without having the feeder effect.
If I put corn out in a new area that a mature buck is in and a trail he uses, I won't put out too much. I learned the past few years that dumping too much out will actually spook him. The doe's or hogs don't care and will eat it up, but my older bucks will avoid area if I just go dump a whole bag on a trail...it's weird, but they're smart as hell. If I just trickle some along the trail they'll still use it and even eat some...

Wow, putting out 500 lbs a week you should have some fatties.
