To me, baseball/softball is the most boring sport going

      Different strokes for different folks

I don't mind if someone doesn't like soccer, but it is annoying when people condemn it when they know nothing about it

They may score 1 pt per team in an hour and a half of play, much like hockey, but with hockey you get to see fights or people getting checked into walls. Then the horrible acting by every soccer game I have ever watched is just plain ridiculous, sure it happens in real football also but after a little bit with no flag they move on, a soccer player will roll around on the ground for 2 minutes after barely being touched by a player and some will just fall as if hit by a sniper when they were in fact never even touched. And yes I have tried to watch the game several times have relatives that watch it, I just can't get over the horrible acting by the players, they need to require them to taking a drama/acting class before they can play.
Those that say, "nothing going on in the game" are generally the people who don't understand it. Unless everyone is just standing there watching the grass grow, then yes, but that doesn't happen. Even in boring games people are running and kicking the ball. To say, "nothing is going on" simply means, "I don't know what they are doing" , which is fine, not everyone appreciates every sport. As far as the diving and acting, yes, I hate it. I'm a die hard soccer fan and I HATE it. But, it is what it is and unfortunately it is a part of the game. I also HATE "forward progress" in football too. To me, if you get knocked backwards on your rear end, then that's where you are. I also hate the countless double dribble in Basketball, but just part of the game. And as far as the score, honestly most games average 2-3 goals. If I translate that to football scores its like 14-0 or 21-14. Don't be fooled by the larger number simply because you get 6 points every time you cross the line

Understand, but that's part of the season. Its a marathon, not a sprint. Soccer seasons are long and ties are ok because it works out in the end. When you play 50-60 games a season the ties are like kicking a field goal in football, its a consolation prize. You weren't good enough to get in the end zone (or win the game) so you get to kick a field goal (or tie the game). In tournaments and playoffs, there are no ties.

Hahaha! I'm the "assistant coach" and I feel just like you do...I am out of place.

American's biggest issue with soccer is our tiny little attention spans. LOL.

One of the unique and usually overlooked aspects of soccer is that it is a game to be played at a high level must be played by smart athletes. Almost every other sport especially most "American" sports the game is orchestrated and micromanaged by coaches. Every play is scripted and called out by a coach. In soccer since there is no stopping there is little opportunity for coaching. The players must create amongst themselves the combination of plays that breed success. In the NFL if you have that rare quarterback that actually calls his own plays we think he is so brilliant and one of a kind. Actually just makes him on par mentally with the average soccer player.

As far as low scores. It's all in your perception. I find a high scoring NFL game a little boring but a great defensive battle is interesting. Same with basketball. And to an outsider a no hitter in baseball is the ultimate in boredom but is one of the most exciting events in all of sports if you understand the difficulty and rarity of it.

I will agree Mexican soccer sucks because of all the player whining and diving.
