We did chili with beans today, but we also use cubed sirloin not hamburger.

                Let us have the recipe.
Chili, bean soup, whatever the OP cooked, it looks better than the tuna I just ate. I knew it was coming when I saw the "DREADED BEANS" I love so much.

Recipe as published, then I will note my additions/deviations

                  3-4 lb pork roast
                  1 tbsp olive oil
14 oz can of green chili sauce
Sm c of chopped green chiles
2bottles of beer or 2can chicken broth
                  1 tsp salt
                  1 tsp black pepper
                  1tsp chili powder
                  1tsp onion powder
                  1/2 tsp cumin
                  1/2 tsp smoked paprika
2 lbs potatoes ( peeled & cut into 1 in pieces)
                  2 c water

Heat oil in skillet over med heat, season roast with 1/2 of salt & pepper & sear on all sides. Pour green chile sauce, chopped green chilies, & beer/broth into lg slow cooker. Mix in seasonings. Add roast & potatoes & water. Cook on low for 6 hours. Remove pork & shred, add back to pot. Top with sour cream mixed with chopped jalapeƱos, lime juice & chopped cilantro.

                  Variation/ deviation-
Use 'country ribs' rather than pork roast
Add 1 can of Rotel tomatoes
                  1 tsp of garlic powder
Use 1 beer or can of chicken broth (too watery otherwise)
                  Serve with cornbread
