Want to do our own deer processing

Can anyone point us in the right direction to get some good equipment? 4 of us are going in together on a set up. Just to grind meat, sausage, and a stuffer I suppose? Anything else we would need and best place to get?
    Thanks!

Butcher supply . Net has great products. If you are getting into it commercially you need to stay away from anything cabela's or academy. The smaller grinders and tenderizers will not handle a larger scale operation.

The cabelas commercial grade grinders are pretty stout we have the 1 3/4 up model and process 20-25 deer a year with it. Get a good quality vertical stuffer.

Yeah didn't think about a sealer, not commercial but we hope to do about 10 deer per season. Will check out Rodriguez. Thanks for the tips.

LEM grinder. Get an old cast iron stuffer. They work great.

Look on ebay for a stuffer. I bought one in Canton at trade days, many years ago. I would also check Craigslist. Try to stay away from plastic gears.

No need for separate stuffer, just put stuffer tube on grinder. No sense making more work. Check out Allied Kenco. Also get some plastic meat tubs. They are great for mixing seasoning, grind into on first course plate. Also get a few lids as the tubs make good storage for equipment, knives. Get some quality boning and breaking knives.

My grinder has the stuffer attachments and its way to slow. Its very time consuming trying to stuff ground meat back into the grinder. Do yourself a favor and get atleast a 15lb stuffer and also get a meat mixer to help mix the seasoning.
