    New bow ordering woes

I have an old Martin bow I really like and I have been looking for one of their newer bows, either the Bengal Pro or the Prowler (I'm looknig for a short axle to axle bow.)

There's no Martin dealers in my area that I know of - so I tried ordering the Bengal straight from the company (4 to 6 week backorder and another week-ish for shipping.) Cancelled that order because it would be mid December before it would even be here.

Then tried ordering the Prowler from a place in PA called bowhunters superstore. They let me know that the Prowler they did not have in stock and it would be backordered 3+ weeks. Cancelled that order too.

Hopefully, third times a charm. Do y'all know of anybody who carries 2012 or 2013 martins or do you have a certain short axle to axle bow (around 30 or 31") that you would recommend. Trying to stay away from PSE and Mathews.

Looking to get one sooner rather than later.

    Thanks

Last I had heard, Martin archery is about to go out of business.

You can make the short drive to the midland odessa area.. Tmp is a dealer for hoyt, bear, mathews, and mission.. And brush mountain in odessa has mathews, mission, diamond, bowtech and pse....

I personally shoot a dna but i have had a diamond in the past and wouldnt have a problem shooting them again.... Bowtechs are very well made bows and have some great package deals that wont break the bank either... Just shoot them all and see whats good for you

I think I would want to shoot the bow before I bought it though. It is also nice to have someone (like a bow shop) to help tune your bow if you have any trouble with it.

I don't see how anyone would drop the kind of money a new bow costs without shooting it first. I also heard the thing about Martin going under. Bowtech and Hoyt both make good budget-friendly bows.

I have the Hoyt Spyder 30 which is a 30" axle to axle bow. Great bow!

If someone had one, I would have shot it. It's not that I haven't been looking for a shop...it's that no one carries it. I have been out to Austin Lubbock and San Antonio as well as around here. It now makes sense why.

Y'all are right, called Martin back and they have filed for bankruptcy.
