    Crossbow Rope cocker ?

I am about to buy a Horton crossbow for my dad. The Rope cocker that comes with it is broke. Can it be fixed with some new rope? Or should a new one be purchased. I know nothing about crossbows. Any advice would be appreciated.

As long as it is the same diameter as the original I can't see why you couldn't just replace it. We got my a dad one a couple of years ago I don't remember but I think a new one is fairly cheap.

if the hardware is still good a new rope is all you will need.

Which cocker or crossbow is it. if it is a sled, you may want to try and find a new one.
Horton went bankrupt so it will be hard to buy a new one. If it is not a sled, you can replace the rope yourself or buy a generic cocker made by redhot or excalibur.

Thanks! I will look at replacing the string till I can find a new one that will work with it.
