Had some does with hocks that looked to be getting there. I'm gonna try it out this weekend and see what happens, maybe this cold weather we've had this week will start me up a little. Bucks have been swelling up and roaming pretty good.

I've seen probably 10 bucks chasing does hard already in the Bulverde area Comal county.

Bucks have came out of hiding this morning in Lampasas County. 44 degrees and I should have been in the stand.

It really depends on where you are. I know with the early rut in Colorado and Lavaca counties it was always good to rattle in early October. But at my place near Lake Somerville in won't happen for another month.

Saw six bucks together Tuesday. Still in bachelor groups in Hemphill Co.

Time to start tickling horns. Bucks are sparring and setting dominance. No hard rattling but a few grunts and some horn music will sure get them interested.

Had two Spikes hitting there spikes together. Some play. Some not

I stuck the dominate one. Ran 50 yards.

Coleman County last weekend heard some light sparring.
