    Hypothetical for the GS

    Hypothetical Question for the GS...

If you were thinking about starting over completely from scratch, I mean a fresh new start, no ties, no strings, no worries.

    1) Where would you go?
    2) What would you do (job)?
    3) Reasons Why.

Let me know what you can come up with.

I left Florida almost 30 years ago and ended up in Houston. No hypothetical about it! Went from working in bike shops to becoming an electrician. I was running away from me. Only problem was I was in my hip pocket.

Depending on your personality and likes/dislikes, becoming a licensed welder, electrician, or AC tech seems to be something that you wouldn't have trouble finding work. If that's not your cup of tea, nursing is another field that is in great demand.

Good luck in whatever you decide----

I left Texas 12.5 years ago and have been making my way back ever since. There are a few places that I would live away from Texas and enjoy it. Out West it would be Montana or Wyoming. Out East would be Tennessee or North Carolina, Northern Arizona is cool also! Colorado and New Mexico would make the list also.

This discussion all started this afternoon at work after we started talking about What If's and What Would You Do If XYZ happened.

Some good answers! Keep 'em coming!

Funny how that works. You can leave everything you knew behind and turn around one day and it will be looking right back at you in the mirror.

I went to Florida for 3 years after a divorce. Went to fish for a week and.stayed.
Became a boat captain in islamorada. Caught fish every day and never wore shoes.
One day I just came home to the ranch, and am thankful for the expierence, but I wouldn't do it again.

Colorado to be anything that makes a decent living. Because that is the most beautiful place I've been so far. People are nice, it's classy, and country at the same time.
