Are all Allegiance bows created equal?

I’m in the market to buy a backup bow.

I’ve been reviewing some of the latest threads about the Elite’s (GTO – Z28 – GT500 etc..)
I’ve also bid on an EBAY bow which was a Alpine Silverado sweet looking rig.
I’ve also entertained the Allegiance because I shot one last week at the Broken Bow Archery League

It’s hard for me to buy a bow by just it’s pure reputation but all things considered I would and if it didn’t fit me I would just sell it.

My first question is are the older Allegiance bows the same as or equal to the newer ones? I want to say the one I’m looking
at has the grey cams on it and the one I shot had black cams on it.

My next question has anyone shot or have experience with the Alpine Silverado? The one I’ve bid on looked sweet but I didn’t bid
Any higher not knowing the quality and performance of this bow. I used to shoot HCA and would swear by their service and product.

My third question is the Elite’s current line up. I’ve seen GTO’s being sold new for $599.00 and people trying to sell me bare bow’s used
For this same amount or more. Are they worth more or equal to the prices I’m seeing or should I wait for the GT-500 / Z28’s?

The newer Allegiance bows, last year and this year, seem to be smoother and easier to draw at the same poundage. They also have a choice of smooth or speed modules. I've got an 05 model and I can shoot it at 60 lbs with over 6 gr/lb and get 290 fps. I love the thing. It's caused a lot of death in the animal world over 3 years.

        Allegiance

05- original binary cam, fixed draw length, non-offset limb pockets(center-shot is a little farther from riser), grey cams.(25 bows left factory black)
06 - modular binary cams, off-set limb pockets, fast mods are about 5 fps faster than 05s but just a tad stiffer draw cycle, smooth mods a little smoother than 05s and about 5fps slower.(can't have everything). Grey cams.
07-08 same bows, 08s have black cams, new camo. 07s have grey cams. These two year models are slower than 06s and not as smooth due to the lighter, trimmer riser.
There is a little more noise and hand-shock on these bows.
In my opinion, the 06 Allegiance and 06 Tribute were the best bows Bowtech has built.
I've owned all, along with Switchbacks and I have a new DXT, and while the Mathews are a little smoother, both my 06 Allegiance and 06 Tribute are the bows I've kept due to all-around performance and smoothness.

Don't get me wrong, the 07and 08s are great bows, you would have had to shoot the earlier models alot to realize the difference. Naturally the shorter draw lengths would not reveal as much difference.

I own an 06 and an 07. I like the 07 more than the 06. I especially like the grip on the 07 (more narrow). Of course, they are both different setups. The 06 is for whitetail with speed cams and I shoot lighter arrows with it. The 07 is with smooth cams and heavier arrows for elk and mule deer.
